Course Content:

•Computer Essentials: Basic of Computer usage, files and data security

•Online Essentials: Browsing the web, sending/receiving emails. Online Safety.

•Teamwork: Concepts and skills needed to collaborate online.

•Word Processing: How to create, edit and format documents.

•Spreadsheets:Recording and updating data, creating graphs and charts.

•Presentation: Creation of slideshows, editing and animating.

•IT Security: Protection of documents, hacking, online fraud. Entry Requirements:

•Previous experience of using computers is essential, this includes basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) •Prospective learners should be able to use the internet.

Class will commence on Monday 27th September at 6.30pm to register for Skills Card and Diagnostic tests, *this will be for week 1 of the course only and will take approximately 1 hour*. All other classes from week 2 onwards will commence at 7.00p.m. Accreditation: ICDL Award (upon successful completion of the above 7 modules
